Today I thought – hey wouldn’t it be nice to paint and not be in front of the easel, perhaps on a comfy couch?
I’ve always wanted to try digital painting so I looked into brushes for photoshop.
Kyle’s Brushes are super affordable and amazing. I bought the gouache set for a whole whopping $7. I first heard about them while editing photos for a friend and listening to ArtProGoShow Episode #5. Kyle talks about his illustrations and his custom brushes for Photoshop. I know I’m not the first person to learn about them, but I am probably also not the last. I figure what the heck, I’ll try them.
Lo and behold here is my first shot at digital painting for Reddit Gets Drawn.
It’s a little messy, but it adds character – right?
I’m a podcast fanatic – if you have any recommendations please let me know.
I’ve been wanting to get Kyle’s Brushes. Do you have a wacom tablet or are you using your mouse? Anyway, definitely listen to Art for your Ear by The Jealous Curator.
I have a wacom bamboo. It is bizarre to use for sure but I will get used to it. I will add that one to my subscription list today! Thanks!
Red is a Groovy Girl. Making art wherever you are opens possibilities. Nice!
Great piece, loose and fun brushstrokes. I’ve had a Wacom Bamboo for some 5 years now, took some getting used to lol, but man it is fantastic.
I bought mine a few years ago too but this is the first real time I have used it. Embarrassing!
Lol, everybody learns at their own pace.
